Hi all. First off, I think the window of asking if soemone wants to confirm their beign ignored should be put back. I keep putting those I don't mean toon ignore. second, I'm on the lists of two ro three people i've enver even seen on here, I wonder if the admins should look at the accounts and delete anytat haven't been active in say a year. just my thoughts.

Yeah, good ideas, vel. I would have to agree with that.

Well, if they haven't been on the sight in a year, what does it matter whether u r being ignored by them or not? I do like the confirmatory idea on the ignore feature. I'll pass it along.

Agreed, KC8PNL.

Hi al. My reasoning for deleting the accounts that aren't active over say a year, is twofold. One, why would you take up space with an id and password someone used for a week and hasnt' been on since and two, why waste being ignored by someone who not only isn't on, but chances are didn't intentionally want to ingore someone in the first place. Just my thoughts on the matter.

Wow, I didn't know they took away that ignore confirmation thing but I agree with you on both fronts vel.

Old accounts don't noticeably slow the site, and we need to keep record of them so their board posts, emails, quicknotes, etc. will be properly tagged. Deleting the few who haven't made any mark at all is more trouble than it's worth. :) Even disabled accounts are kept in the system, they just aren't able to log in.

if people block you and are inactive then there's nothing to worry about. inactive users who don't frequent this site often are harmless.

I'm not sure that people should actually be told they are being ignored. What difference does it make?

If you're put on somebody's ignore list, you deserve to be there! Your problem, period.

Well there are ppl on here that ignore others ofor no reason. Even if you have never saw or talked to a person they ignore you. But it doesn't matter to me about who ignores me, but I do agree to put the comfirm screen back.

I agree with ya Bunnywabbit. People should be able to see who's ignoring you. The confirmation window is a great idea, I liked it because it gave me a choice: Do I really want to block this person? And if so continue if not cancel. I'd like to see this type of window for those taking people off the ignore list? Say I put blind-bandit on ignore. I'd be asked if I want to continue with the confirmation of ignoring him. But say things are all dandy and he and I want to continue talking. I then go back into the ignore list and unblock him and see the the same window only for unblocking. Making it clear that if I unblock BB then I know and accept that if I do I have to put up with him.

Yeah I agree.

Post 14 by sugarbaby (The voice of reason) on Wednesday, 13-Jul-2005 17:17:35

ah but if you unignore someone you select them and hit "make changes, so effectively you are confirming that you want to unblock someone.

I think Vel means when you ignore someone, when you hit the ignore button, they ask again if you are sure to ignore that person.

Post 16 by sugarbaby (The voice of reason) on Thursday, 14-Jul-2005 6:58:51

yeh I know but if you read blindvi's post one above mine she's asking for the unignore feature to be confirmed in the same way.

Post 17 by Inesle1987 (Account disabled) on Thursday, 14-Jul-2005 8:12:47

Ah yeh, ... I don'T think this is necesary. Sorry, didn'T read clarly.
